DANISH ICONIC DESIGN

The Peacock Chair originally designed in 1947 by Hans J Wegner was inspired by the classic Windsor chair of the time and their well-known bars for backrests. Wegner added his stamp to the design by the fine 'blades' on the bar, and the position of the blades to add comfort to the occupant, enveloping the the seated with comfort.

ARTISTRY & FUNCTIONALITY

Wegner was inspired, motivated by Ergonomic shapes throughout all of his solid wood ranges, working closely with other designers like Finn Juhl to develop some of the most popular mid-century designs. Finn Juhl was actually the one who named Wegners to design the Peacock chair after seeing it for the first time.
